We at the American Red Cross Triangle Area Chapter (“TAC”) respect your concerns about privacy and value the relationship we have with you.  This Privacy Notice applies to the TAC’s online practices involving personal information.  The Notice describes the types of information we collect via this website, how we may use that information and with whom we may share it.  The Notice also describes the security measures we take to protect the information and how you can reach us to update your contact information, remove your name from our mailing lists or get answers to questions you may have about our privacy practices.

Information We Collect and How We Use It

Personal Information

You may choose to provide personal information (such as your name and e-mail address) while visiting this website.  Here are the ways you may provide information and the types of information you may submit.  We also tell you how we may use the information.

• Provision of Services - If you request services, or participate in the provision of services, we may ask for information such as your name, postal address, and e-mail address so that we can communicate with you.
• Create a User Account - If you would like to register so that you have a user account on our website, we may ask for your name, email address, postal address, phone and fax numbers as well as payment information so that we can create and manage your user account.
• Enroll for Classes - If you would like to enroll in a class, such as a CPR course, we ask that you create a user account (see above) and request your payment information so that we can enroll you for the course.
• Information Requests - If you request specific information from us, we ask for information such as your name, postal address, and e-mail address so we can provide you with the information you requested.  You may choose to provide additional information as well, such as your phone number, so that we may contact you in other ways.
• Donations - If you would like to contribute to the TAC, we request information to process your donation such as your name, address, phone number and e-mail address.  A service provider who processes donations for us will receive your information, as well as any payment information you provide, such as a credit card number.
• Contact Us - If you e-mail us through this site, we will receive your e-mail address and any other information you choose to include in your e-mail.  We use your e-mail address to respond to your inquiry.
• E-mail Alerts - If you would like to join our mailing list, we ask you for your e-mail address to send you e-mail alerts regarding news releases, upcoming events and other topics.
• Other Website Features - We offer visitors to our websites various features for their information and enjoyment, which we may change from time to time.  We may ask you to submit certain personal information so we can provide you with these features.
• Other Uses of Information - We may use the personal information you provide for internal purposes. These purposes include administration and compliance with our legal obligations, policies and procedures.

Our websites may provide links to other websites for your convenience and information, or to provide features like donation processing.  For example, if you would like to set up your own website to raise money for the TAC, you may do so by clicking a link that enables you to set up your website via a third party service provider.  These websites may operate independently from this site and have their own privacy notices or policies, which we strongly suggest you review.  We are not responsible for the content, use, or privacy practices of any other website.
